It is something to consider versus a rewire to get everything directly behind the TV. This kit seems like a simple solution to dressing up the appearance of large screen TVs that now is almost all homes. They are more like suggestions for the manufacturer, which I see as half of my reason for writing reviews the other half being for the benefit of potential purchasers.
None of these criticisms really amount to a critical flaw.
It seems like they could be a bit longer. My other small issue is with the size or length of the tabs on the backs of the various connectors. In most cases the installer should be able to find a stud adjacent to the low or line voltage outlet since electrical boxes are mounted to studs except in remodel applications. While drywall anchors are provided for the screws, I think that the pop-toggle kind might hold tighter but that could be argued. That seems like important information-especially for renters. There is also no mention of whether the double-sided tape strips will remove cleanly at some future date or whether significant damage can occur to paint and drywall. I believe they should include reference to using a stud finder and level as part of the planning and installation. The installation instructions are a bit "thin" for some DIY people.
